I really like my shade sails. I was so pleased that I could get them in the blue and red colors as I already had a cream/white one. These are very well made and are holding up well with our summer monsoons. They arrived super fast which helped as I had summer plants to protect from the intense heats. Very good product and I though the price was very reasonable too.

I used this for a shade cloth in my ghse! So much prettier than a boring old shadecloth or the patio screen door I had on roof of ghse! It adds a touch of class and artwork to my ghse!

great for little ones playing in the backyard. This is just the right size to cover the sandbox. Our kids can play outside without worries of sunburn if they get out without their sunscreen on!.

Although the fabric is rather lightweight, it seems to be quite strong and, overall, this shade sail is very nicely constructed.
Another HUGE selling point for this product is the 5 year warranty. 5 years is a LOOOONG time for a shade sail. If it survives 3 years, I'll be happy. If it breaks down in a year, well, I'll be back here to update my review. I'm hoping for the best though. :-)

Great quality gives me good shade, no issues , love the color

To provide a little shade over my pool
Easy to install (especially since I happened to have support screws at the right locations) Used turnbuckles on two corners and a short bungee cable on the third. (Gives it some flexibility in the breeze ) I want another one but need an odd size

I used the red 12' triangle all summer in San Diego, California. Held up perfectly. Color, shape, etc. Used screw in hooks on 2 sides and one side was mounted to a tree with a zip tie. Did a great job keeping out the sun on my porch landing and providing some shade for the tropicals on my porch. Highly recommend.

This thing is like the Energizer bunny or has taken everything mother nature has thrown at it from snow and hail to 60mph plus winds and still looks great

These sails are nice and big, and provide large sections of shade. We've had them up several weeks now. It's been quite breezy at times and a scorching hot summer. They are holding up well. We purchased them to provide shade over a Japanese maple tree and our swimming pool in the hot central California valley.

I got these because we needed a way to quickly, make our deck habitable in the day time. The sun is killer out there. My husband rigged PVC poles with zip ties to the rails and we screwed the other side into the eaves. We were able to use the deck most of the day! Thrilled with this!

didn't expect much when the price is cheap, but wow! I was wrong. The quality is absolutely outstanding for this price. I expected to get something that will last me one summer down here in the south. It already withstood thunderstorms, hot sun and lots of rain. Based on what it held up against so far I think it'll last me at least 3 summers before I even need to think about replacing it.

This shade sale worked perfectly to provide morning and afternoon shade and looks fabulous I like that the way the design looks, it was easy to install, and has held up to the monsoons of summer quite well. I am purchasing another one for the horse pen! Five stars

Good quality for price. Charcoal color is accurate. Red is not red at all; it's burnt orange. I have attached a picture next to some actual red objects. I will report back with blue after my exchange.
As I answered in the questions section, if you hang these using your 6th grade geometry skills and make them tight then the edges will not be curved like the photo. Based upon the dimensions they are what kind of triangles? That's right: equilateral. That's 60 degrees at each corner and the edges are straight when you lay the shades out flat. It's easy to know how to set poles because you set a t-square in the center of the long edge and measure straight out. Thebt-square will point at your poles. The tape measure should go through the corner of the shade and out toward your pole. Do that 3 times then get a beer.

simple answer to a hot west facing door cover. Put gravel in a large pot with a post and attached other two ends to house. The triangle design sheds wind a lot better than a square. It keeps about 80% of the heat from a NM sun off you, a very clear difference. Rain tends to run to end if it's sloped enough. Has held up so far to 40 mph winds with no difficulty and has solid construction with rip stop fabric. Can combine with other triangles, shapes and colors if you are feeling creative. happy so far .

I ordered these to cover my pond from the hot Las Vegas sun. Install is a little tricky and you want to make sure you have it to where you can evenly tighten all corners. I used rope to test out my connecting points before finalizing the hooks, wire ropes, and turnbuckles. Turnbuckles are a must for getting it tight and will make it easier to take down during extreme winds although we had crazy winds last night that turned over umbrellas and plants but my sails are still fine. This brand is the best quality of any that I ordered. Luckily the 16.5 was my first so when I ordered a second one and third one from two other companies I was able to see the big difference and returned both. I settled on the second smaller one which is 12 x 12 and I really needed 14 x 14 but I only would use this Love Story brand after seeing the alternatives.

We love it! We are going to purchase one more shade to get even more coverage. The quality is great! Our patio depth is around 8 feet and width is 28 feet. These are 3 of the 12x12x12 (so you get an idea of the size you need).

We love it! The color is perfect, sturdy and easy to set up. It arrived in one day, on Sunday! We enjoy staying under. We didn't have shade anymore, because we took down our big silver maple, :( Having this Triangle sail is helping.

We needed to create shade in our backyard. Ended up buying multiple shades. They seem well constructed. We are pleased with them.
Anne Casey
Wasn’t sure if it will look good but it turned out amazing! Gives enough shade without taking away sunlight from the backyard.

Blue sail in the picture. Has been up for two years in Florida weather and taken down only once for a hurricane. Shows no signs of fading or wear. Highly recommend.

We have a dog boarding facility and the sun hits the lot from about 10:00am to 3:00 pm and this provides some shade that we desperately needed in the hot summer months

I was surprised at how inexpensive this high-quality, well-made sail was! There was a variety of colors to choose from. It is the perfect touch to our outdoor sitting area.
Mariela
Great quality used it to cover a lottle garden to give it a little shade.

I USED IT AS OUTDOOR DESIGN! LOOKS GREAT! THANK YOU

It is the best and easiest to install and good price. I’m very happy with it
John
Sails were well made and easy to install. Not overly priced.

Very happy with the color and durability of these shades for my patio in Mexico!
Susan
Such a colorful addition to a backyard.

Works well. Looks great. My recommendation is to go to the hardware store and buy wire rope, thimbles, turnbuckles and clamps for easy installation.

Thank you. I love it!

Was so excited to get my sails. Summers in SCAL are extremely hot and we needed something simple to provide protection until the back deck finished. These sail are a great addition.

Love these had them put up today and going to buy two more!

This sail shade is great. I looked at them last year but never purchased one. Why did I wait? It has made a noticeable difference in the comfort level on my deck by blocking the sunlight. Some plants growing under it require water less frequently which is very helpful.
Joseph
I hate direct sunlight! I installed this shade over my back window to keep direct sunlight out of my great room during midday. It does a great job! Early morning, and evening light still sneak in but I don't mind that light so much. The sail looks great over my patio and has stood up to our occasional wind gusts here in northern Colorado. I'm thinking of getting another to put over the sliding glass door next to it. I should have bought this years ago!
I attached to eye-hook screws to the house for mounting one side and I attached the opposite side to a long metal pole that is embedded in the ground just past our patio.
Buying this is a no-brainer.
P.D.
It's been working great for us. It's a seeming-tough feeling nylon fabric, and I'm hoping it will hold up as well as looks and feels like it will.
The color is pretty close to what is pictured. It has more of a sandy beach color (tan with some lighter/darker flecks), but it more to its advantage than the bland tan pictured. It's a great blend with neutral tones outside. It's also dark enough to create real shade underneath it, but letting through plenty of light to read by.
It doesn't come with metal clips, but it does come with plenty of rope on each corner. It's close to enough to use it as a parachute (NOTE: do not use as a parachute).

We live in Florida. This shade triangle is indispensable, to create more outdoor play space and even offer relief to Shade- loving plants. My son hung this from an elevated deck, with a family hammock underneath. It is super easy to hang, and once properly secured withstands hefty wind and rain. The color is neutral but not boring. No complaints. I have made my own from the rolls of sun shade material sold at Box Stores. This Coolaroo is far superior and worth the price.

these do cut the sun as advertised and give a nice shady area, but be warned that you will probably need to do some thinking and planning before you try to put them up. We were trying to get coverage on a rectangular deck with three of these triangular shades and BOY did it take a lot of work to get them up and in the right place. Getting them tight enough to withstand our midwest rain and windstorms has not been easy. A lot of tweeking to get them tight enough and the right height with enough slope so the rain rolls off the side and not down on our heads. I think the quality seems good... we'll see how they withstand our weather, though. Wish they had come with some kind of hardware as I had to spend some bucks at the hardware store on bolts and hooks and tie downs to get them up securely. I'm no geometry major, but I now know that 3 equilateral triangles will not cover a rectangular space very well. We spent a lot of time sitting on the deck scratching our heads and drinking Coronas trying to figure out how to get them up right. LOL! :) Wish I had just popped for the more expensive rectangular one and saved myself a LOT of hassle! Still, now that they are up they do look pretty cool. We got two Sand colored and one Mocha and overlapped them a bit for a nice look.

It is just what I needed to layer under a smaller, green shade sail. It was a bit too big for the 10" area I was putting it in, but I was able to tie knots in each end, cut off the ropes it came with, and attach it to key hooks with silver carabiners. Worked out well.

I really like these ! purchased 3 of the triangular ones, previously from Costco. Over time, I replaced the nylon twisted lines with vinyl coated wire cable. Did need to patch and resew the corners a couple times as well. But they lasted over 3 years in brutal Arizona sun and wind. Recently purchased 3 brand new here from Amazon (went with the larger 16 footers, rather than 13). Again using vinyl coated wire cable from the start, using toggle bolt tensioners, and added a medium duty spring one 1 corner for each of these new shades. Pulled at tight as I can get them to keep them flatter, trying to minimize the abuse from the wind. These are arrange to provide a great shaded area near the shallow end of our pool.

I purchased the Coolaroo 11 foot 10 inch sail canopy to provide afternoon shade under a west facing gazebo. Installation was easy, about 30 minutes - just centered it on top of the gazebo, and wrapped the nylon ropes attached at each corner around the support structure. I may install 8 inch boat cleats on the gazebo and wrap the lines around those for a cleaner look.
The area this shades is noticeably cooler without blocking all the light. So far it's weathered several southeast Texas summer wind and rain storms without needing any adjustment. The pebble color is good, and the fabric and stitching are strong. The shade is an equilateral triangle. The sides are curved inwards somewhat more than I'd expected from the pictures but that's not a deal breaker for me. I recommend this product.

okay, I do not write many reviews but I felt I must. This product is a MUST have if you are looking to shade a area. The item is quality made and priced fair. It seems that this manufactures item is of a better quality than most. The stitching is incredible strong even thounyou would not think it at first. It seems to be stitched with a fishing line type quality and strength around the seams. Easy to install and comes with 20ft of water resistant nylon rope that holds tight when knotted. Item does not come with hardware to affix the corners. I went a little overboard with my setup. I replaced rope withnstainless steel chain and installed ALL stainless steel eyebolts and turnbuckles. I have included pictures on this review so check it out and let me know what you think.

So far so good. First of all we bought this as a privacy cover for our pool area from our 2 story neighbors versus using it as a shade area.
The quality appears to be good and it went through a good test. We had a really bad storm (60mph wind gusts) and this thing held on with no damage. Houses in the area that were under construction collapsed during the storm, but this shade survived. I thought the posts holding it would snap before this thing would break. The downsides are the shape and size. The image shows the long side as not being as curved as the short sides, but it is curved just as much. You lose a lot of coverage because of how much the sides are curved. The other issue is the dimensions provided. Ours is slightly bigger, which wouldn't have been a problem if I didn't set the posts based on the dimensions provided. I set the posts 18' apart (dimensions say 16' 5") to account for turn buckles. This thing connects directly to each post with them at 18', it is not as tight as it should be, but it works. It is also not a perfect right triangle, so you do have to offset the one post to account for the shape.

Fits great. Took 3 hours for 2 persons and a lots of scratching heads

These were a little complicated at first. I had to rearrange them a few times. Finally got them how I like and it was fairly easy then. I used two right angles, one is "upside down, hem side down" but it works. The center is an elliptical triangle. I ordered the 6 inch turnbuckles and D hooks set and then bought some chain from my local hardware store. I do wish my husband would have listened to me on the wood post...make sure to set it at an angle! "Slant it backwards" mine is already pulling towards the sails. Sad! All in all though, I do love these sails and hope they last for quite awhile.

Been up a few weeks, so far so good. It's been through a couple moderate wind 'events' with no issues. We got the 16'5 x 16'5 x 22'11 right triangle in dark gray. It's a bit tricky to get the 3 corners the right tension so that the triangle is held evenly.
Pro Tip (or word from a guy who learned the lessons first):
- Temporarily tie the corners with the ropes until you get all 3 corners correctly located. My mistake was trying to pull 2 corners tightly together, and there was no way the 3rd corner was going to pull correctly as it was out of shape. Once I loosened it up, I was able to go around and tighten the 3 anchor ropes until it was just right.

These are great shade sails for the price!! I purchased both the cadet blue and the sand colored sails and installed them over our pool with help from my mom. The long side of the sails were the perfect length to stretch across our pool and I used rope to tree straps on the third corner of each sail. The curved edges prevent sagging once there’s tension on all corners plus it gives the sails more character instead of boring straight edges. We live in Texas and have never been able to enjoy our pool much during the summer months because there was nowhere to find relief from the sun. Not only do these sails provide the much needed relief from the sun but they also keep the water cooler allowing us to enjoy our pool more often. I took most of the photos around 10am which show the shade from the sails starting to make its way over the pool. Two of the photos were taken the next day at 2:30pm which show the shade is almost distributed evenly below the sails. No matter the time of day there’s always some shade cast over the water now and I wish we had gotten these years ago! We are already planning to purchase more for other areas around our property and we are extremely satisfied with this purchase!

We have strung shade screens for years - here in the Southwest. This is an excellent product. Much higher quality than the shades I bought at Costco several years ago. The screen material is heavier weight. That produces more shade against the sun. The hardware and stitching are heavy duty. We see little chance the material will stretch like other shades we have used.
Excellent instructions along with cautions on how not to attach, etc. Heavy duty hardware included, if needed. We purchased both triangle and rectangle shades, and overlaid them to fit our specific dimensions. So glad we found this product!

First let me tell you I am a 56 year old woman. I only tell you this so that other women won't be intimidated by this easy to instal shade sail. It comes with three tie down pieces of rope that were plenty long enough. I used three eye bolts, two carabiners and one turnbuckle to tighten it once it was attached to the eye bolts. This will make it easy to take down if we have a storm or heavy winds. I live in Sacramento where it gets HOT so our current umbrella wasn't enough. Adding the shade sail to our existing umbrella will make our deck nice all summer!
I've included some photos here to show how perfectly it covers our patio. The photo of the little thing that looks like a shark is what I used to support the long side of the sail. You can attach a rope through the eye and turn the little dial on the top to clamp it to a sagging side of the sail (if you have this issue) to lift it nicely. Hope this helps!
