Going to chime in. Shoe Horn works somewhat as expected. I already have one with a similar design that has a slightly larger, more stiffer spring. It makes all the difference in the world. So I wanted to have two, one for the bedroom and the other for by the front door. With this product the spring makes it difficult to use, unless you position it EXACTLY where your heel needs to be placed within the shoe and then pull it upward. The locking feature works well and adjusts to the correct size. I would have loved to get the one which I already own as it is perfect. ( bought it at a retail store, no idea as to who the maker is ). This one does okay, but would be improved with a stiffer spring.

THE POINT OF SHOE HORN IS TO FORCE THE HEEL OF THE SHOE UP OVER THE PROTRUSION AT THE BACK OF ONE;S FOOT. THIS TAKES A CERTAIN AMOUNT OF FORCE AND BECAUSE THIS SHOE HORN HAS A FAIRLY OBVIOUS SPRING JUST ABOVE THE HORN PART OF THE DEVICE, IT IS NOT POSSIBLE TO EXERT SUFFICIENT FORCE. ONE HAS TO ASK IF THEY EVER TESTED THIS DEVICE WITH REAL PEOPLE, OR JUST PEOPLE WITH SLIPPERS. IT REALLY DID LOOK NICE AND THE EXTENSION HANDLE WAS COOL.

I like the adjustable length of this shoe horn but the spring at the top of the horn part allows too much flexibility. The horn part wiggles about while trying to use it. I would like it much better if it didn't have that spring and was one solid piece.

Because of hip issues, I can't put on my left shoe. This long-handled shoe horn does the trick! The only thing I don't like is that the cushioned part of the handle easily comes off but that's a small matter. I do like that this is flexible, making the navigation of my left shoe onto my left foot a fairly simple matter.

Forgot about the locking feature and notified vendor as an enhancement. They quickly reminded me it already was there. Now that I have gotten past that I find that this is a great tool for assisting putting on shoes with or without wearing socks. I have seen some comments about the spring but have found it to be very useful as it allows me to align the shoehorn despite the angle I am holding the extension.
