The wooden box is a nice feature to store and protect these bits. So far I have only tried using the reversible glue joint bit. You will need to make two templates: one for the tongue and the other for the groove. The bit height will change, so make the same edge on all parts before adjusting to make the mating parts. I fiddled with the height of the bit to make sure that the top and bottom face of the stock were within the rabbeting (i.e. the outermost vertical) section of the blade. Otherwise, you will create a thin wedge on one of the faces. Use the picture as a guide.
With regards to cut quality, you get what you pay for. There was considerable tear out on the top/bottom face of the stock in relatively soft pine. I would consider scoring the cut line with a marking knife or gauge. Otherwise, the joint fits well.
I would defer to other reviewers with experience using these bits in oak and poplar.

Seems strong, I just wanted to share the picture. If I have any issues I will correct rating appropriately

I used this bit to join 1x8's to wrap a post to have it look like a beam...worked great! One tip... you need straight wood for accurate edges, especially on long pieces.

Bought this to make a faux beam to hide the top plate of a non load bearing wall i removed. I could have removed it and patched the ceiling but went this route. A regular miter is the best way to give the appearance of a solid beam but it wouldnt be strong enough and it would be tough to line up over a long span. This solved both of those problems.

I used this bit on several 3/8" thick Myrtlewood joints and worked very well. I do have a larger size better quality bit and it does make a smoother cut. But for the money I was very pleased.

These bits are fine for occasional use by hobbyists like me, but I doubt if they're durable enough for more than two projects. Obviously, these are large bits that require precision in set-up. Unfortunately, the instructions included cover only the lock miter and aren't very detailed. There is nothing about how to use the glue joint and drawer lock bits. There should be information about correct router speed for softwood, hardwood, plywood and MDF of various thickness.

Very nice quality bit. I have only used it on softwoods so far. Setup is easy but once you get it right you don't want to mess with the fence or height to do incremental cuts. None of the below is a criticism of this bit. I am very happy with it.
If I was cutting hardwood I would remove all I could with a 45 degree bevel bit or a table saw before running through the router.
Properly set up you will be running a knife edge of wood against the fence or table on the out feed. Even pressure and control is required.
DUST AND CHIP REMOVAL IS ESSENTIAL! You have to bury 1/2 the bit in a sacrificial fence. I used a 2x4 notched with minimum clearance for the bit and drilled the largest hole I could down from the top edge until it broke through to the bit clearance to attach my shop vac.
Practice, practice practice. You can't beat the value for the money.

I really like this bit. I've only tried it on 1/2" baltic birch plywood but on that it cuts quickly and cleanly. I think hogging out the bulk of the material with a 45 degree pass on the table saw really helped. One of the problems I see people having is the set-up. It's pretty simple when you think about it. You need to align the center line of both the horizontal (table) and vertical (fence) pieces to be routed with the centerpoint of the bit profile. It took me minutes to set up and was good to go the first time. I attached a picture of the centerpoint of the bit. I hope it helps someone. Then, when you do get it where you want it, make a set of set-up blocks for the next time.

Creates nice crisp cuts and is as good as much more expensive ones that I have purchased. This model works best on
5/8ths - 3/4 inch stock although it will work on 1/2inch with careful trying. I will purchase the smaller model to use on the thinner stock. It takes a fair bit of fiddling around to micro-adjust for accuracy, so once the proper cut is established rout profiles on the same size of stock as a setup guide. (There are two separate profiles to rout so have a set-up block made for each). It works best in a router table, and profile are best cut in several passes, increasing the depth with each pass until the full profile is achieved.
The carbide cutters seem to be well-machined and honed; time will tell how much they wear and how fast. This isn't a bit that gets daily use usually so should stay OK

I purchase these cutters to young and groove the ends of young and grooved white pine.
Worked exactly as expected.
Great product and a good value. I would definitely purchase this again.
