Works well during the day. But, the birds come at dusk and there is no battery reserve to keep the thing working. That being said, most of the birds were scared off, but there are two persistent doves.

I've had this owl in my garden for a few months now. No more raccoons digging holes in my flower pots. However, it does sometimes scare me when I'm tending to the garden and forget that it's there...lol.

As the instructions tell you there are three setting, Off, 1 or 2, depending on what you want it to do. It's lite and easy to move around for its size and they include the two screws to attach it where ever you want.. I have a raised garden that squirrels like to bury their food in so hopefully this will keep they out of there. Pictures show how it comes and where I attached it on a portion of my garden.

Seems to work well so far. The owl hoot and moves when you come near it. It seems to be keeping critters away from our garden.

This is pretty fun to have. It seems to have kept the birds off our tomatoes. Don't put it where you walk through all the time. It will keep hooting.

Had to keep cleaning up duck poop, so although some people said these don't work I had to try something. For the price, I figured it was worth a try. This is definitely a persistence game, I also added a few floaty snakes to aid my owl, and it worked pretty well. The female ducks stopped coming pretty much immediately, the male ducks seemed to know it wasn't real, but still didn't like when it hoot'ed at them! Soon enough, with no ladies at the pool there was no reason for the mallards to keep coming. Now they have a habit of going to someone else's pool!
