I've only used these for a single saltwater trip, but on that trip they worked for 5+ nights without issue. So not sure if they will last for years to come but they definitely delivered this time. I followed the instructions to only connect them to a battery after placing them in the water and held them down with 8 oz sinkers. We rinsed the lights with fresh water each night after use and paired them with ExpertPower Standard 12V 7Ah Rechargeable SLA Battery, (EXP1270-2) and a Coleman 60132 Coleman 12V 1.5A Smart Battery Charger/Maintainer/Rejuvenator. We caught more fish than I expected and they did appear to attract little schools of bait fish on calm nights. Picture is BOTH an above water fishing spotlight and this product so don't be confused. The bright green glow in the left side of the picture is this product glowing. The water was very murky, so I'm sure it would look more impressive in clearer water, but it still did put out a good amount of light for the price.

Works perfectly for the money....this FLOATS, but has a ring on one end to sink it a bit if desired...We kept it on top, in tandem with another sunk 4 ft....
Took it crappie fishing this past Saturday night....brought in the smaller critters great, next thing was the baitfish swarm, then the crappies.
Did great for a 95-degree day, during a heat wave in July, water temps 86 degrees.....caught a ton of BIG crappie working steepest parts of humps in deep lake. Lights brought marked crappie up from depths of close to 60 ft to 10-15 fow....Will buy again when I need another one.

Ok... bought this due to my boat lights weren’t all working no snd did not have time to order replacement light and install it.
Went to the Colorado river a month ago and was laughing to the wife about the light... put out a great spread but to attract fish? I laughed. Nearly jumped out of my chair which was only in the water about a foot when an 18 plus inch small mouth bass swam up to my feet then over to the light. I was blown away.. then I went out to my boat which was @bout 15 feet of shore and there was around 25 small bait fish of serval different type of fish. Normally don’t fish when I go to the river but I’m think8ng next year... I’m bringing my poles!

All of the night fishing crappie anglers who use lights around here have Coleman lanterns or electric lamps that hang over the water. They work to draw fish, but also draw a huge amount of bugs during the late spring and summer. I've had an inch of dead bugs in the bottom of my lantern after a night of fishing. They divebomb everything the light reflects off of, including your face. I can only take so much of bugs crashing into my eyeballs.
So I wanted to try out a submersible light. I looked at the reviews, and even the expensive ones had negative reviews that mentioned leaks and short warranties. I figured if something is going to fail I'd rather have a $20 light fail than a $120 light, so I bought this one. I have only used it once but so far it seems well constructed. No leaks and it ran for 4 hours off a sealed 12V 7Ah lead-acid battery and only brought the battery down to about 50%. Very bright. The water was reasonably clear (I could see the light clearly at about 3') and there was a 20' circle of light around the dock. It started drawing what looked like water fleas almost immediately, and after about an hour there were thousands of them swarming around the light. I did see some minnows also, but the location was probably wrong for drawing large schools. I also saw some large trout or smallmouth bass darting through the light. We caught a lot of small crappies and some very nice perch using a jig that matched the approximate size and shape of the minnows we saw before a storm chased us off the water.
Not sure how long it will last, but so far I am impressed with the quality and brightness of this light and plan on buying another. The size is perfect for a small boat and I plan on taking them out in my kayak soon to hit better spots. I also like the long cord, which is perfect for hanging off bridges and piers at low tide. Don't waste your money on the $100 lights that only last a few trips.
I will update if it has problems in the future.

I did a TON of research looking for a good baitlight that wasn't going to be around $100. Pages of reviews, videos, and days later, I decided to take my chances with this one.
After reading all of the good and bad, I was concerned with water getting into the housing and ruining it. But I had it submerged in 15ft of water (under a foot of ice) for about six hours today, and so far so good! I was really impressed with how much area was lit up by this little guy! I knew it was bright (from a curriosity fuelled test in my living room that left me seeing spots for a short while) but this truley exceeded my expectations.

I was skeptical about this light but the first time I put it in the water I saw how great it was. I used it in a canal in the florida keys and instant bait fish and if cast about a 6 foot circle of light around the light. It attracted tarpon and sharks. We caught a 5 foot nurse shark and a 5 foot tarpon just days after buying this light. Highly recommended!
